We are slowly approaching one of my favorite times of the year - when the temperatures drop, the leaves begin to change, and the sun sets a little earlier. Although autumn is a little bit farther away in Hong Kong than my hometown, that doesn't mean I am not getting excited about switching out my summer wardrobe for my autumn wardrobe full of chunky knit sweaters. For those who are new here, cooler weather plus me equals best friends. I feel most like myself and feel most comfortable when I'm in chunky, oversized sweaters and cozy leggings.

Well, I’m just going to go ahead and say it because it’s the truth – 2021 wasn’t the year I was expecting it to be. I know a lot of you can agree with that statement and can relate to a lot of the emotions I have been feeling over the last several months. 2021 flew by in the blink of an eye. How is 2022 already here? But while 2021 may not have been quite as I envisioned, there were still so many positives in my life that made everything worthwhile. Despite not having the year I expected, I am still passionately optimistic and hopeful for 2022.

When most people think of Cambodia, they tend to think of one of the most beautiful and iconic symbols of the country - Angkor Wat. A world famous UNESCO World Heritage site, Angkor Wat, which literally translates to "Temple City" in Khmer, is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the world spanning nearly 402 acres just to the north of Siem Reap. Is it just me, or did summer truly fly by this year? It feels like just last week we were welcoming spring,  but now we are 3 weeks away from officially entering the autumn season. On these last few days of August, I am finishing up all my floral scented candles before I replace them with woody scents, and I am about to switch out my summer wardrobe for my autumn wardrobe.

It was a pretty dreary winter for many reasons, so spring feels like a much needed and very welcome arrival. The birds have started singing their seasonal hymns and there's a feeling in the air of brighter, happier days ahead.
