Spring Skin Care

This is a short post today but a post that I am constantly requested to update. I have decided to post a new skin care post every couple of months, as I am always changing products depending on the season. Since we are now in spring and about to enter summer, my product list is a bit different than my winter collection.
In winter, I rely heavily on products that keep my face hydrated. I still care about hydration in the spring/summer, but in Los Angeles the winters here can be harsh and drying on the skin even if the temperatures are not below freezing. La Mer The Illuminating Eye Gel (also available here, here, and here) // Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Cream (also available here) // Kate Somerville Quench Oil Free Hydrating Face Serum (also available here and here) // Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ (also available here, here, and here) // Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer With Sunscreen SPF 50 (also available here) Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel For a face wash, lately I have been using Nordic Beauty's Anti-Aging Cleansing Milk. It doesn't have harsh chemicals in it, which my sensitive skin appreciates. It's also creamy, which leaves my skin soft after I wash it. Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care Kate Somerville Dermal QuenchI've been using Kate Somerville products since I was a teenager. Their EradiKate spot treatment zaps my blemishes like no other product out there. About four weeks ago, a few days before my wedding, I decided to treat myself to my first facial in eight years at Kate Somerville's clinic on Melrose Place. I got their signature Dermal Quench facial, and my skin has never looked better. My esthetician suggested two products for me - Kate Somerville's Deep Tissue Repair and the oil-free Quench serum. Both have become daily routines for my skin ever since. My skin feels nourished and youthful (My mom is also an avid Kate Somerville user and swears by the regular DermalQuench). Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Dermal Quench The most recent addition to my skin care collection is La Mer's Illuminating Eye Gel. Before you gasp at the price (trust me, I did too), let me tell you I have never seen results more impressive from an eye gel than this one. I've been using it about one week now and I already see a huge improvement! I am prone to dark circles under my eyes, finding myself packing concealer under my eyes religiously to mask them. I apply it every morning and every night, and my eyes always look refreshed, awake, and bright! And yes, it is pricey; however, a little bit goes a long way. This will last me a very long time, and in that time I will have probably spent just as much on other eye gels. Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel My morning skin care routine starts off with either a hot towel or a face wipe. I then apply the Kate Somerville Oil-Free Quench serum, which locks in moisture and helps prevent wrinkles or fine lines. Next, I apply the La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel under my eye and on my eyelids. Finally, I apply Clinqiue's Dramatically Different Moisturizer which I have used on and off over the past six years. If I am applying makeup, I wait about 20 minutes to make sure everything is basically locked and loaded. Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care Kate Somerville Dermal Quench La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel Clinique Dramatic MoisturizerAt night, I wash my face with Nordic Beauty's Anti-Aging Cleansing Milk followed by the Quench serum once again. After the serum, I apply the eye gel followed by Kate Somerville's Deep Tissue Repair lotion. When I wake up the next morning, my skin feels refreshed, smooth, and highly moisturized. Alyssa Campanella The A List Blog Miss USA 2011 skin care Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Dermal Quench La Mer Illuminating Eye GelAnother product I swear by is Cetaphil's Facial Moisturizer with SPF 50. I do not normally spend much time in the sun, however, on days where I know I am going to be out and about a lot or even headed to Disneyland, I will apply this moisturizer instead of Clinique. It works well with my sensitive skin. I recently added Sisley Paris' Black Rose Cream Mask to my skin care collection as a way to keep my skin hydrated on all the lengthy plane rides I have coming up. However, since I have not tried it yet I cannot give an honest review but as soon as I see any results I will update you all. La Mer The Illuminating Eye Gel (also available here, here, and here) // Kate Somerville Deep Tissue Repair Cream (also available here) // Kate Somerville Quench Oil Free Hydrating Face Serum (also available here and here) // Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ (also available here, here, and here) // Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer With Sunscreen SPF 50 (also available here)

Drink lots of water in summer, Water keeps skin cells hydrated and working fine so drink water to keep wrinkles away. Water plumps the skin cells up making them look less wrinkled. Also it flushes impurities and toxins out of the system keeping your face fresh and clean and thus aid in reducing the breakouts and acne
