Everything I Wore In Mexico

shop the post

As promised, I'm dedicating a whole post to everything I wore in Mexico. I shared my packing list just before we headed to Cabo, but I didn't get to share every look I planned on wearing. Most of you requested that I do a separate post on all of my Mexico looks, so here it is!
One thing I love to do is curate my style to match wherever we are headed. For example, for Santa Barbara I chose a lot of beach themed looks and for Arizona I chose pieces with pops of color to match the vibe of the desert. For Mexico, I knew I wanted to feature a lot of whites and reds (and dresses), so I researched as much as I could before the trip to find the right pieces. As most of you know, I really admire how the Duchess of Cambridge really researches and studies locations prior to her trips abroad so her looks will match or pay homage to where she is visiting (i.e. royal trips to India, Canada, and Australia). I knew I wanted to apply the same to this site, and so when I got the seal of approval from Tor as I was packing for our Cabo trip, it just added to my excitement. I may have been blogging for three years now, but I still get excited whenever I feel I got something right!

Thanks for sharing all of your outfits 🙂 It’s such a wonderful treat to see the fun memories you and Torrance shared together and what better way than through fashion! The last dress is my favorite btw; I bet you had a lot of fun twirling and dancing in it. Looking forward to your next post! 🙂

    • The A List

Aww thank you Isabelle! And yes I did twirl a lot in that dress! Twirling + wine maybe isn’t the best combo haha 😛

  2. Anna

Hi Alyssa! I loved your post and think that the outfit roundup is a great idea. Please keep doing them. I liked the outfit with the Asos dress the best of all of them. Thanks for all the great inspiration! Can’t wait to see what is next in your travels and beautiful outfits!

    • The A List

Thank you, Anna! I definitely plan on doing more roundups then! PS the ASOS dress was one of my favorites too 😉

  3. Danielle

Thanks for sharing! Love the looks you put together? How many bag/purses do you usually bring with you on a trip? Also, when packing, do you use a garment bag or do you bring a portable steamer with so that your clothes look good when taking them out of a suitcase?

    • The A List

Hi Danielle! Thank you so much! For this trip I brought about 4 bags… we were mainly on the beach or by the pool most days so my bags were mostly for going out to dinner. I do pack all of my clothes, especially dresses, in garment bags and we always pack a portable steamer.

  4. Zarah

I think look 1 was my favorite! And yes I’d like to see more roundups 🙂

    • The A List

Aww thank you Zarah! Look 1 was a lot of fun!

  5. Cristina

I love the Asos dress! It looks great and your makeup in that picture goes perfectly with it. Did you get to wear the crotchet swim suit? I didn’t see any pictures of that one and it was one of my faves from your packing list!!!

    • The A List

Hi Cristina! Thank you for the sweet compliment!

I actually did wear the crochet suit but during one of our private plunges in our balcony pool. Unfortunately my chest is bigger than what I thought and so the top of the suit didn’t properly cover everything that I would have liked it to. It just needed to be stretched a bit.

  6. Christle

Can’t stop looking at the dress in look 8 now, I *love* red! Look 1…I thought that was a dress, I didn’t know it was two separate pieces! :D…and look 5 are still my favourites, though.

    • The A List

      Thank you Christle!

  7. Penni Weston

WOW…sensational looks! Can’t choose really. You look great in each piece.

    • The A List

      Aww thank you, Penni!

  8. Yris

I strongly think you should donate me some of these dresses! Look 2, maybe.
All the photos are amazing, you still are very very beautiful.
    Kisses 💚
