Winter Feminine Style

Despite living in Los Angeles where our average temperature in the winter is a not-so-chilly 50F, finding the perfect winter feminine style can still be a challenge. I lived in New York City for 4 years and Toronto for 3 years, so I know how much of a challenge it can be to dress feminine while all bundled up. They key is to have a little fun in putting your look together, whether it be in pops of color, a ruffle or two, or both!   I still know the struggle about keeping up with my winter feminine style as I prepped for our Finland trip. Finland is the coldest place I have ever been (it's tied with Toronto), so coming up with outfits that fit my style niche and outfits that I would be the most happy with was a fun task. Something that works well with feminine styles are bold colors, lace, ruffles, and florals, and so I try to incorporate as much of that as I can into my winter looks. For this feminine winter look, I brought out my new favorite red coat again (I last wore it here), as it's one of the most feminine coats I own. Plus you cannot go wrong with a bright red in winter, as it contrasts beautifully against the white snow and the grayer tones. For extra femininity, I paired my coat with a ruffled floral maxi dress. This is one of my favorite ways in mastering feminine style in winter. Maxi dresses can still be worn in winter, as my trick to keeping my legs warm are thigh high boots. To top the look off, I finish with a bold lip and a fisherman's cap (which have been very on trend this past season!). This look would be perfect for a business meeting, meeting up with the girls for lunch, or heading out on a date night. Check out more of my favorite winter feminine style dresses below:

    Hey,

Love this blog post! I was hoping you’d do a post like this – I live in NYC and I am always cold, so it’s so tough! I’d also love to hear your rainy day advice too!

I noticed the link for the ruffled floral maxi dress is a broken link. (“I paired my coat with a ruffled floral maxi dress.”). Is there another link to use for that? Love the dress / look!
