What’s In My Makeup Bag?

I am always asked what kind of makeup I use, so I have decided to do a series called, "What's In My Makeup Bag?" I am pretty picky about my makeup. I typically prefer brands that are paraben-free and cruelty-free, such as Tarte Cosmetics (you'll see A LOT of Tarte in my makeup bag!). I have sensitive skin as well, so I don't like to put heavy makeup on if I don't have to. In this post, I will talk about what makeup products I like to use for my face. Processed with VSCOcam with g2 preset Primer: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 15. On most days, this is all I will have on my skin. It's light and matte, plus it has SPF in it, which helps protect my skin against the sun. Tinted Moisturizer: Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen. In the winter, my skin tends to be a bit more on the dry side so I will use a tinted moisturizer to moisturize and to hide any redness. It also has sunscreen in it, which shields my skin from harmful UV rays. (You can get sunburnt in the winter, too!) Tinted Primer: Tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen. In the summer, if I want to add a bit more color to my face, I use a tinted primer with sunscreen. It stays all day long, even in the warm LA weather. Foundation: Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation with Tarte Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush. I hate foundation. HATE. It feels too heavy and always makes my skin either look too cakey or too dewy. So whenever I attend an event or a photo shoot, I prefer a lighter powder foundation. This powder foundation from Tarte leaves an airbrush finish (especially when applied with their bamboo foundation brush) that is not heavy or cakey but extremely light. Concealer: Tarte Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Waterproof Concealer. I have tried countless concealers trying to find one that worked well with my skin and didn't leave lines or dark circles visible. I finally found my favorite in this Tarte concealer. It goes on creamy but is extremely blend-able. Finishing powder: Tarte Smooth Operator™ Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder. In the summer, my skin tends to be a bit oiler and needs a little extra powder to absorb any excess oil. This Tarte finishing powder is so extremely light and mattifying that I have been using it for years.

I love the idea of this “What’s in my Makeup Bag” series! I bought the Gifted mascara from Tarte on your recommendation, and I LOVE it!! Any chance you’d update this series with other things in your makeup bag??
