Whistler Indulgences

Vacations are all about indulging yourselves. When Tor and I made our plans to visit Canada for our second wedding reception, I knew having time to ourselves would be a bit limited. We usually stay in the heart of Whistler Village when we visit Whistler, but this time we chose to stay in the Upper Village at the Four Seasons.

If the Four Seasons could be that stunning in the summer, I can only imagine how picturesque and quaint it is in the winter. We were upgraded to a premier room with a balcony that overlooked Blackcomb Mountain and the woods below. As soon as you stepped out on to our balcony, you could just smell nature (it was even more incredible when it rained). In our room, a personalized card welcomed us as well as some delicious sweet treats from the chef. We continued our sweet tooth in the morning with a delicious order of waffles for breakfast in our room. What better way to enjoy a vacation than morning room service? I will never, ever miss breakfast. Even at home I will always enjoy breakfast in my pajamas, whether it be at 6 am or 10 am. While the rain came down outside, we enjoyed relaxing in our room before taking on the day. We only planned on spending 30 minutes at the pool, but we ended up staying for over two hours! Not even a minute after we settled into the hot tub, a member of the pool staff came by with towels and strawberry mint water. We ended up visiting the hot tub twice, and each time we sat with other couples from around the world and chatted away while drinking champagne. Some even suggested some other amenities to try while exploring Whistler. We didn't have time to explore them all on this trip, but Tor and I are planning on visiting Whistler again in the summer and will have to try them! They involve different levels of white water rafting and even bear watching!
