Best Plaid Pieces for Fall

Now that fall is officially here, it's time to focus on some of the best pieces for fall, including the best plaid pieces! I keep forgetting how much I love fall until fall makes it way around again each year. While I live in a city that'll pretty much feel like summer until Christmas, I find myself pining after the GORGEGOUS pics of changing leaves and fellow bloggers in their sweaters on Instagram. Plaid is obviously a fall style staple, so I wanted to share some of my favorite and the best plaid pieces for fall. From shirts, to scarves, to capes, to jackets, to even plaid boots - I've got you covered. This year, I am adding more plaid to my wardrobe than before. This time last year, I was spending several months abroad in Spain with my husband as he filmed a television series, and so I was more focused on styling myself for that than style staples for fall. This year, I've been seeing plaid everywhere. I'm pretty sure I saw it before fall was even close to arriving because, hey, it's never too early to stock up. That's how you know it's a good staple to have that'll also last you through winter. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13809,13807"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13805,13808"] I think one of my favorite plaid pieces in my closet was also my most popular piece from last year - this red plaid duffle coat (also available here). It was so popular last year that they've brought it back in stock! I'm bringing it with me to Iceland (hello Christmas pictures!) as well as this green plaid version. This version is similar but less expensive, and I also love this similar plaid coat. I am also obsessing over this wool plaid coat. I could totally see myself frolicking around London in it! And then last year I fell in love with this plaid cape, and I'm happy to see similar versions this year here and here.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13802,13804"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13800,13801"] For plaid shirts, I can always rely on Rails to have the most comfortable, flattering, and best plaid pieces. I currently have this one and this one, and I love them both. This plaid blazer is also definitely a closet staple, so is a good plaid skirt. Last but not least, there's this plaid puffer vest that's currently in my shopping cart for our upcoming Iceland trip.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13799,13798"] [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13796,13797"] When it comes to accessories, there's no shortage in the best plaid pieces. This is where plaid has always thrived for me, since I have a lot of plaid scarves in my closet. This year, I am adding two more to my collection: this one and this one. But I am also loving this one and this one, so perhaps I may be adding four when all is said and done! But the plaid doesn't stop! If you're looking for the best in plaid boots, my favorite winter boot brand Sorel makes this one and this one. There's also these waterproof plaid rain boots. Now, you may laugh when I say that pajamas are also some of the best plaid pieces, but they truly are! Perhaps they feel more "Christmas morning" than fall, but this is definitely the time of year to bring them out! I just purchased a set for our Iceland trip, but I also have my eye on these and these.
[gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="13811,13810"] Needless to say, there's A LOT of good pieces for fall. These aren't all the best plaid pieces, but I'd say this is a good chunk and a good start for the fall season especially when it transitions into winter. Not that I'm in a rush or anything.... (just kidding, I totally love the Christmas season!). What are some of your favorite plaid pieces? Alyssa Campanella of The A List blog shares the best plaid pieces for fall

I know this post was all about the best plaid clothing you can get! I love it and as I live in England in Oxfordshire I cannot wait for the Christmas season so I can wear my plaid to the local villages Christmas markets! On a side note when you visit England again oxford is a perfect place for you to visit, full of history and beautiful locations for a blogger to photograph!

But I have to ask where that black jumper is from (if you have already answered that in the post and I have missed it I apologize), its simply stunning and something I must add to my ever growing jumper collection!

Thanks again for the lovely blog post!
