This past week, I took a quick trip home to Los Angeles. Since I have been living in bitterly cold Toronto for the past three months, everyone assumed the first place I would want to hit up once I got home was the beach. Nope! Instead, the first place I visited was this little cafe in Studio City called Vivian's Millenium Cafe. I was not craving sun or the beach - but for Vivian's chocolate chip pancakes! I have been dining at Vivian's since even before I moved to Los Angeles in 2010. Even if I lived downtown I would still trek to this little patio cafe for their pancakes. They know my order as soon as I walk in - a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes and fresh hot chocolate. Their pancakes are pretty big (which is why I get the short stack) but they are very moist and fluffy, and they are FILLED with chocolate chips just how I like them!
