FIFA World Cupcakes

With the FIFA World Cup final coming up on Sunday, July 13, I decided to get a little into the football spirit by baking cupcakes that resemble the national flags of the top two teams going into the final - Argentina and Germany! Since I have German blood (I have family on my mother's side that immigrated from Germany a couple generations ago), I will probably be rooting for Germany. But I will be eating both of these cupcakes!
Ingredients:
 - 1 box white cake mix (and required ingredients)
 - 1 box yellow cake mix (and required ingredients)
 - blue food coloring
 - red food coloring
 - can of vanilla or white frosting
 - can of dark chocolate frosting
Preheat your oven to 350F and prepare a cupcake pan with baking cups. Get four mixing bowls ready. In one bowl, create the white cake batter from the white cake mix. Pour half the batter into another bowl. Pour about 12 drops of blue food coloring into one of the bowls and mix (add more drops if needed). Pour about 1/3 cup of the blue batter into the baking cups. FIFA World Cupcakes Jumpers & JasmineNext, pour about 1/3 cup of the white batter into the baking cups on top of the blue batter. FIFA World Cupcakes Jumpers & JasmineIn the two remaining mixing bowls, take one and prepare the yellow cake batter with the yellow cake mix. Pour half into the other mixing bowl. In one of the bowls, add about 8 drops red food coloring and mix (add more drops if needed). Tip: you can also use white cake mix but you will need more drops of red food coloring. Pour about 1/3 cup of the yellow batter into the baking cups. FIFA World Cupcakes Jumpers & JasmineFinally, pour 1/3 cup of the red batter into the baking cups on top of the yellow batter. FIFA World Cupcakes Jumpers & JasmineBake for 20-22 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the frosting. Add blue food coloring to the vanilla/white frosting until it reaches the same blue as the cake batter. After the cupcakes are fully baked and cooled, frost the blue/white cupcakes with the blue frosting and frost the yellow/red cupcakes with the dark chocolate frosting. FIFA World Cupcakes Jumpers & Jasmine Happy eating and good luck to both Argentina and Germany!
