Mad About Plaid (Coats)

Plaid coats are extremely on trend this winter season, and it's not surprising to anyone. They have always been a staple autumn coat and usually stretches through winter. It's a style can be dressed up or down, paired with faux fur or on their own, or be long or short (I personally prefer long!). It's really easy to see why everyone is so mad about plaid this season!   There are many different ways to style and wear plaid. It can be worn as a coat, like in today's post, or in sweaters and blazers. Plaid sweaters are synonymous with the holidays just as plaid coats are synonymous with cooler weather. One of my favorite ways I have seen coats be styled this year is with faux fur scarves. I absolutely love this one and this one, but I think I want to style my coat with this one this winter. Adding faux fur to plaid is super chic. Another chic way to style a plaid coat is with a pop of color. Red is the most popular and obvious choice, as it really stands out amongst the patterns and brings out all the colors within the coat. No matter what color the coat, red is a very safe option to add a little boldness to your look. Add a red lip and a red hat for an even bolder effect! I had been on the hunt for a really good plaid coat for autumn/winter, and I had my eyes on some brown ones that quickly sold out. Muted plaids are extremely popular, as tans, creams, browns, and beiges tend to go with everything. I don't typically like to wear black, which is another popular color, so when I saw this gorgeous blue coat, I knew it was the perfect one. It's also heavy, making it perfect for each season from autumn to spring.
