Trench Coats For Spring

It's the classic spring staple jacket - trench coats. It's my favorite coat for spring, especially because it's so versatile. It also typically comes in colors that can easily be worn with anything such as black, camel, red, and my favorite - pink. Trench coats weren't something you would find in my closet a few years ago. I thought it was a kind of jacket that wasn't really needed in southern California. Boy was I wrong! It's more than perfect for the California spring season. For a while, the only trench coat I had was an old BCBGMAXAZRIA trench coat that I was given during my year as Miss USA. It had dramatic ruffles in the back that made me feel extra high fashion. Then in 2013 during my first visit to Ireland, I saw so many Irish women wearing trench coats and wellies so I decided to invest in more trench coats. Last year, I fell in love with a pink skater trench from ASOS that sold out quickly and was quite bummed. When I saw they brought back a similar one for this year, I was stoked and knew I had to have it. It's the perfect feminine shade of pink! This trench coat is beautiful! 🌸 and this shade of pink is so delicate! I’ve never had a trench coat but I was planning to buy one because I’ve always loved this kind of coat! I love the Burberry one but unfortunately is too expensive 😩

Thank you, Francesca! I love the Burberry too, but luckily there are plenty of options that are a bit more in budget!

Love this! I feel like I’m not cool enough to pull off a trench coat, but that being said, I’m not very adventurous in my fashion choices at the moment. Maybe I’ll give them a shot – I’m study abroad in Ireland next year so it might be the perfect time to give trench coats a go! <3

I thought I wasn’t cool enough either, especially living in a city like Los Angeles! But they’re actually incredibly practical! And they’ll be perfect for Ireland! Pack one with some wellies and you’ll be good to go!
