Spring Layers / Floral Jumpsuit

Two things that go extremely well, especially in springtime, are lace and florals. As someone who has a very feminine sense of style, my spring layers always encompass those two if I can. While spring layers can always be a multitude of things, layering a lace top underneath a floral dress or jumpsuit is one of my favorites. Spring layers can be flirty, fun, and very feminine. [gallery link="none" columns="2" size="full" ids="15913,15911"] This romantic trip to Ireland has called for me to have to put together many outfits that are layered. Just like with any country, springtime weather can be unpredictable and so the notion of spring layers always seem ideal. As I walk through castles as the rain comes down outside, I am brightening everything up by combining florals and lace in my outfits. When I first saw this floral jumpsuit, I immediately knew I wanted to pair it with a lace top underneath. Since the weather is still a bit chilly, especially here in Ireland, layers are essential for spring. I've planned a lot of my looks in Ireland to be layered. Layering feminine tops underneath sleeveless dresses is one way to get away with wearing them when the weather isn't too warm. Since we are celebrating our wedding anniversary here in Ireland, they have become my go-to look for romantic dinners with Tor. I can never have enough white blouses in my closet, especially ones with lace. They're so perfect on their own or for layering. Plus, if they feature balloon sleeves or bell sleeves, then they instantly catch my eye. My favorite blouse in today's post is an old one (last seen here and here), but it's definitely a coveted piece. I am also loving this one and this one, too. What are some of your favorite ways to incorporate spring layers?

What I Am Wearing in This Post:

    Hi Alyssa!

I’ve found your website after watching Reign on Netflix, googling your husband (I thought I recognised him and found out he was also in The Tudors, one of my favourite shows!) and coming across your Instagram.

I wanted to leave you a comment to let you know how much I love The A List. I love your style and have enjoyed getting to know you and your husband in your more personal posts! You come across as very genuine, trustworthy and down to earth.

I am from England and it is lovely to see how much you and your husband are interested in (and seem to enjoy) European history and culture!

    Good luck with everything.

    Alice xx

Florals and lace are my go to for all spring and summer months! Always have been! I simply love bell sleeves, when I wear bell sleeves I also feel like I am bringing back historical fashion when bell sleeves where an essential parts of a ladies wardrobe. That’s what I feel atleast.
