Hey there, A-listers - I'm back! Sorry I was a bit MIA on here for a few days. After T and I returned to our home in LA, we decided to go through EVERYTHING we own - clothes, shoes, books, etc. I am a sentimental person and can sometimes be a bit of a hoarder because I never know when I will need something again. But after being bicoastal for the past two years, we needed to slim down on some things. We did a major purge and ended up donating over 30 bags worth of items to goodwill! It took days, but it felt so good. The employees at the goodwill center laughed at us because we drove up to their center three days straight with more bags each day. But they were super grateful. We only had a couple of days in LA to organize our home before we packed up my car and drove six hours east to Phoenix to visit family. This family road trip was actually much needed. The cats were none too thrilled about the car ride but once we arrived in Phoenix they made themselves right at home. I have not been to Phoenix in a couple of years - I believe my last time in Arizona was a couple of months before I won Miss USA. The heat is actually taking some time to get used to! I came from a place that's just in the midst of spring time and now just a few days later I'm in the middle of a desert in blistering heat. But I'm not really complaining, because now I get to wear all the maxi dresses I have been DYING to wear, including this dress by Sachin + Babi. I first eyed this dress MONTHS ago but accidentally had it sent to my LA home instead of my Toronto one, so once I got home in LA I opened the package and finally put it on. I brought it to Phoenix because I thought the colors were an appropriate contrast to the desert landscape. I finished the look with a crepe vest and a nude wrap belt as well as a beige cross body bag. The dress was perfect for the hot weather because it's made from a light chiffon fabric and it blew gently in the wind.
