New Flats For Spring/Summer

As some of you know, I recently tore my plantar fasciitis in my right foot (the main ligament that stretches from your toes to your heel). Wearing heels is a big no-no for several more weeks as it continues to heal. 90% of my shoe closet consists of heels, thanks to my years as a model and my reign as Miss USA. Now that I think about it, I find it interesting that I only owned two flats while living in Los Angeles -a city that is practically in the summer season year round (Of course, since they were my only flats and I don't always wear heels, they look kind of dilapidated now). But now is the best time for me to stock up on some new flats not just because of my injury, but because spring is around the corner! So I found some awesome flats upon my search and I just had to share them! Stripes & Sequins x Matt Bernson Mulberry Polka Dot Flats - Okay, so I will admit upfront that I am biased towards these flats. My good friend Grace Atwood runs the blog Stripes & Sequins, and she recently did a collaboration with shoe designer Matt Bernson. The day they went on sale on Shopbop, I immediately purchased the grey Mulberry Polka Dot Flats. They are unlike anything else in my shoe closet and they are oh so cute! I am not usually into glitter or bling, but these flats are not over the top at all and can go with so many outfits. They also look incredibly comfortable. I am currently [impatiently] waiting for my order to arrive! They also come in two other colors.
New Look Jade Mesh Insert Flat - For a special event or a special date night, you can never go wrong with black flats. But what I love about these flats is the fact that they are not just solid black flats. They have a unique side mesh insert. Whether they are worn with a cute dress or some good jeans, these flats are a fun take on black ballet flats.
ASOS LADY LUCK Ballet Flats - As soon as I saw these lace flats, I was in love. These would be the perfect summer flats, especially if paired with a loose top and light jean shorts. They look incredibly comfortable too, like lace-covered slippers that you can wear beyond the house!
Sayulita Espadrille Flats and ASOS JUNCTION Espadrilles - I am used to espadrilles being wedges or having some type of heel, so I was caught off guard at first when I saw espadrille flats! But these flats look like they would be the perfect beach or boardwalk shoes! Just grab these comfy shoes, a tote, and a straw hat and hit the shore!
