One reason why I love shooting street style is getting to explore new neighborhoods and streets in different cities. Despite living in Los Angeles for almost six years now, there are still certain parts of the city I’ve yet to visit for the first time or revisit again after many years. Same with New York City. I lived in New York for four years and even now I find myself discovering new streets throughout the boroughs.

During my days as a model running around to castings all over Los Angeles, I’ve driven by certain spots numerous times but never actually stopped to admire and walk around – such as the LACMA. The neighborhood is popular since The Grove is not too far away, as are the E! studios where people hope to catch a celebrity arriving or leaving the building.
It’s easy to get used to sticking around your own neighborhood, but sometimes it’s good to literally “step out” of your comfort zone. I love that with my blog I’ve been rediscovering my home city of Los Angeles.
