December is here which means the festive, holiday season is upon us. By now you're probably sorting through all of those gorgeous holiday cards in the mail of your friends and family, but you're also probably sorting through all of those holiday party invites. Aside from the gathering of close friends and family around a large dining table meticulously decorated in holiday food and wine, the holidays are a time of glitz and glamour, something I like to take full advantage of myself. From the simplest layered look for a family dinner or a show-stopping ballgown for that fancy Christmas gala, I'm sharing three of my favorite holiday looks this year. Keep reading for outfit inspiration on glamorous holiday looks that suit all kinds of holiday dinners or events you have lined up this season. The Sequin Look

If there are two thing that for certain go hand-in-hand this time of year, it's December and sequins. Sequins are perfect for holiday looks because they evoke glitz, party, and sophistication. As someone who is not big into jewelry, I will naturally find myself gravitating more towards a sequined look for a holiday party to make up for no jewelry (aside from my wedding and engagement rings). Between colors of burgundy, black, silver, and even rainbow, sequins are very much a holiday staple. I am wearing this dress by one of my favorite brands, but I am also loving this one, this one, and this one under $40.

The Layered Look

For a family dinner or a gathering with girlfriends, the layered look is the perfect holiday ensemble. I love layering at this time of year, especially when the evening turns chilly. It's the perfect way to stay warm and also still get to wear that sleeveless holiday dress. It's also a chance to play with different pieces in your closet. For example, the lace top I am wearing in this look has been in my closet for over a year. I paired it with this green dress and this faux pearl bag to create a feminine holiday outfit.

The Black Tie Look

The ultimate holiday party is a black-tie gala, whether it be celebrating the holidays or ringing in the new year. This is the ultimate dream to wear a drop dead gorgeous gown that adds a touch of "royal" to the party. I will never turn down an excuse to dress up formally, and since I do not get the chance to very often, this is where I thrive. For this look, I've recycled this strapless gown from our anniversary trip this past summer, but I added a polka dot mesh bodysuit underneath to make it more holiday appropriate.

To complete any holiday look, you must have the perfect shade of red for the most iconic of red lips. For this, I turn to this matte liquid lipstick that lasts all party long.

I love both the first sequin dress and the last red gown 😊
