Happy Friday, A-Listers! I hope you all have some fun weekend plans. I don’t know about some of you, but I know what I will be doing – one of my favorite tv show’s new season begins this weekend and I CANNOT WAIT! (Psst – it’s Game of Thrones.)
T and I love Game of Thrones so much that we ended up naming our two kitties after two characters from the series – Renly Baratheon and Daenerys Targaryen. Yes we are nerds and no we do not care. And if we got a third kitty they would also be bestowed upon with a Game of Thrones name. I tried to convince my mom to name her two new kitties with Game of Thrones names but alas she went with other names.
Speaking of kitties, while location scouting for a quick shoot with T, a cute ginger kitty approached us. He/she had no fear, especially when I got down on their level and spoke to them softly. Clearly it was a neighborhood cat because he/she was very well fed and seemed to know their way around the neighborhood.
Okay, back to the main part of the article – fashion. Once I get distracted by kitties, it’s pretty hard to un-distract me (I know that’s not a word). One of my key spring pieces is a trench. In my last post I talked about sleeveless jackets, but when I need an official jacket for spring, I like to grab my trench coat. Sometimes trench coats I can find to be a bit stiff and uncomfortable, which is why I am a fan of the soft trench coat. I love this coat by French Connection because it is SUPER soft and not heavy – perfect for spring! The blue is absolutely gorgeous and I love the contrast with the sharp gold buttons. It gives off a sort of military vibe which I am certainly a fan of.
