Snow White and the 7 Degrees

This post's title gives it away - yeah, it was FREEZING. This had to have been the coldest NYFW on record, at least in my experience. It started ruining the week for some. Several people actually chose not to attend to a few shows at the last minute because they just could not fathom trying to dress up, catch a taxi, and brave the frigid temperatures outside. I guess because I had come in from Toronto, where it was even colder, I felt partially immune but it still wasn't amazing. Note to self: pack more sweaters next year. The one positive to it being cold is my coats get some good use. In Los Angeles, there's really no such thing as coats. I remember scrambling trying to find one for my first trip in Vancouver in November 2010 and finally found a small little rack of some at Marshall's 10 miles from my apartment. So while I am in New York City and Toronto, I take advantage of the moment! I think for this NYFW trip I packed six different coats. Somehow getting all of them to fit amongst two bags filled with other clothes and shoes was a bit of a major miracle (sorry, Air Canada for the heavy bags!). Besides attending shows at NYFW, I also attended several meetings with several brands. The A List was still under major construction at this point but that wasn't going to stop me. I got a sneak peek at Yosi Samra's Fall 2015 collection (there are blue ankle boots that certainly have my name on them!) and I am super excited for that launch! For my final day in NYFW, I recycled my Lafayette 148 NY white coat and paired it with a Lafayette nude silk skirt and a white silk top and belt. And to finish the look, what makes more of a statement surrounded by white snow than an eye-popping red lip? I totally feel you when you say that coming from somewhere already cold, makes you a bit “inmune” to low temperatures hahaha Where I live there’re very low temperatures in winter, but also the rest of the year so… yeah, I feel you hahaha [gonna stop there, I tend to babble a bit]
Your hair on this pics is fantastic, gonna try to do something inspired by it soon ^^ Also, again: the pictures are incredible! You look gorgeous!
    Big hugs,
